Intermediate BAS Accountant

Our client is a well-established and respected mid-tier Chartered Accountants firm based in New Plymouth. Renowned for delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services, they are seeking an Intermediate BAS Accountant to join their supportive and dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
• Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and GST returns.
• Managing client relationships and responding to day-to-day queries.
• Assisting with tax planning and business advisory engagements.
• Working collaboratively with an experienced and supportive team.

Skills & Experience

• A relevant accounting qualification (New Zealand or Australian recognised).
• Two to four years' experience in an accounting, finance or public practice role.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CA ANZ studies underway, or a genuine desire to commence.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
