Responsibilities

• Manage and underwrite program/portfolio risks with delegated underwriting authority.
• Perform individual risk underwriting on the side
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and MGAs.
• Participate in reinsurance negotiations as needed.
• Contribute to product development, including wording interpretation and manual creation.
• Work independently with limited supervision to meet business goals.
• Collaborate with team members to support company growth and diversification.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of proven experience in program or delegated underwriting, preferably within brokers or MGAs.
• Strong technical skills in risk assessment and underwriting.
• Tech-savvy with openness to AI tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Relevant industry certifications and a background in commercial insurance.
