Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer

GWE specialise in 3 waters, environmental and geotechnical engineering services and operates throughout New Zealand. We work across the public and private sectors on a diverse range of projects, from large multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects to smaller scale residential projects.

The opportunity

GWE is looking for an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist based in our central Hamilton office.

You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience and will become part of our Geotechnical team with responsibility for:

• Site investigation - we have our own drill rig and use CPTs and deep machine drilled boreholes so you will gain experience working around varied methods of geotechnical investigation
• Slope stability assessments and analysis
• Liquefaction & laterals spreading analysis
• Settlement analysis
• Foundation, retaining wall and ground improvement design
• Geotechnical reporting
• Construction monitoring

Our projects are located on complex sites, and you will work closely with internal engineering staff and our external consultant partners, using problem solving skills to develop innovative engineering solutions for our clients.
