ALISONDAMONTE creates personal, art-forward interiors that feel collected rather than decorated. We are seeking an Intermediate Designer with strong interior architecture and documentation skills to join our small team. Our current projects emphasize kitchens, bathrooms, custom millwork, and lighting, with less focus on furniture and soft goods sourcing. Applicants must have at least four years of relevant experience working as a designer at a residential design firm.
The Role
- Develop interior architectural plans, elevations, and details, particularly for kitchens, bathrooms, and custom millwork.
- Prepare lighting plans, finish selections, specifications, and schedules.
- Produce and maintain coordinated AutoCAD drawing sets.
- Coordinate design details with architects, contractors, fabricators, and vendors; review shop drawings and samples.
- Lead smaller residential projects from concept through installation, with Principal oversight.
- Support Senior Designers on larger projects on an as-needed basis, independently managing assigned scopes.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits; coordinate production tasks with Project Managers and Design Assistants.
- Source furniture, soft goods, and artwork as projects require.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in residential interior architecture, kitchen and bathroom design, and custom millwork.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and confidence producing detailed drawing sets.
- Working proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer.
- Technical knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, and construction methods.
- A distinct design perspective and the ability to work within the studio’s design language.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through across multiple projects.
What We Offer
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with up to a 3% employer match.
- Paid vacation, holidays, and year-end studio closure.
- 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
- Mentorship, professional growth, and project ownership within a collaborative, creative studio.
