Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and documentation of mechanical building services for Australian projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical building services systems in accordance with project requirements and relevant Australian standards.
• Prepare mechanical layouts, drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
• Develop and review mechanical models and drawings using Revit.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, and architectural disciplines.
• Review project requirements and ensure designs are accurate, practical, and compliant.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with resolving technical and design issues.
• Work closely with senior engineers and project teams to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
• Review drawings and documentation to ensure quality and consistency before submission.
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and supporting the technical development of the team.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building services/mechanical engineering design.
• Experience with Autocad and other relevant engineering software.
• Good understanding of mechanical building services systems and design principles.
• Australian project experience and knowledge of Australian standards is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
