Intermediate Rigger

About the role

Link-Force Au is seeking an experienced Intermediate Rigger to join our client on a casual basis, DIDO from Perth. This role is pivotal to our construction and plant operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement, positioning, and securing of heavy machinery, equipment, and materials across our worksites. As an Intermediate Rigger, you will play a critical role in maintaining operational safety standards whilst supporting the successful execution of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspecting rigging equipment, slings, shackles, and other lifting gear to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Calculating load weights and determining appropriate rigging configurations and equipment for lifting operations
• Positioning, securing, and guiding heavy loads using rigging equipment, ensuring stability and safety throughout the lifting process
• Communicating effectively with crane operators, site supervisors, and team members to coordinate safe lifting operations
• Adhering to all relevant safety procedures, regulations, and site-specific protocols at all times
• Conducting pre-operation checks on rigging equipment and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements
• Assisting with the setup and dismantling of rigging systems on construction sites
• Maintaining accurate records of equipment inspections and maintenance activities
• Supporting the training and mentoring of junior riggers and site personnel on rigging best practices
• 11 Hours days
• 2:1 swing (DIDO)
• Working on a Pipelaying Project in Merredin

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a rigger in construction or plant operations environments
• Current and valid Rigging certification or equivalent qualification recognised in the construction industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and lifting equipment standards
• Strong understanding of Australian safety regulations, including AS/NZS standards relevant to rigging operations
• Proven ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces where applicable
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
• Physical fitness and capability to perform demanding manual labour in various weather conditions
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with dogman or signalling qualifications is highly desirable
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a positive safety culture on worksites
• Essential: Must have RI (Intermediate Rigger Ticket)
• Available to Drive out on 28th of October 2026.
