Not Just Coatings Ltd is a Christchurch-based specialist contractor delivering protective coatings, fire protection, industrial flooring and concrete repair solutions throughout New Zealand.

We are looking for an experienced Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of the tendering and commercial aspects of our projects while working closely with management throughout the tendering and project delivery process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing plans, specifications and contract documentation.
• Measuring quantities and preparing cost estimates.
• Pricing variations.
• Preparing progress claims.
• Procuring materials and obtaining supplier pricing.
• Liaising with clients, consultants and suppliers.
• Assisting with contract administration.
• Maintaining accurate commercial documentation and project records.
• Providing commercial advice and support to the management team.
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from tender through to completion.

About You

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• Previous Quantity Surveying and/or estimating experience.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

Experience in industrial, commercial, maintenance or fire protection projects would be an advantage, but is not essential.
