At Civix, we're redefining land development in New Zealand, and we're looking for an Intermediate Surveyor with NZ cadastral experience to join our Auckland team.

Based in our central Auckland office, you'll work across a diverse range of land development and infrastructure projects, combining field and office-based work while continuing to develop your technical capability within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same at Civix. You'll get stuck into a mix of surveying projects, with plenty of variety across field and office-based work, while working closely with our planning and engineering teams.

• Undertaking cadastral surveys, including boundary definition and subdivisions.
• Carrying out fieldwork, survey calculations, data processing and plan preparation.
• Assisting with the preparation of cadastral survey datasets for review and LINZ lodgement.
• Completing topographic and construction surveys.
• Managing assigned surveying tasks and contributing to project delivery.
• Working closely with our surveyors, planners and engineers across multidisciplinary projects.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck into a variety of projects, takes ownership of their work and brings a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor or Diploma in Surveying (or equivalent qualification).
• A minimum of 2 years' professional surveying experience in New Zealand, including practical cadastral surveying experience.
• A sound working knowledge of NZ cadastral surveying standards and LINZ requirements.
• Experience in boundary definition, survey calculations and cadastral plan preparation.
• Experience with relevant survey software, such as AutoCAD, 12d or Leica Infinity.
• Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
