Intermediate Three Waters Engineer - Hamilton

An established engineering consultancy is looking for an Intermediate Three Waters Engineer to join its Hamilton team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety and wants exposure across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work across a range of water infrastructure projects, combining office-based engineering and design with site work, monitoring and interaction with clients and contractors.

Working alongside experienced engineers and other technical specialists, you’ll have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for projects while continuing to develop your technical and project delivery capability.

The Role Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the investigation, planning and design of Three Waters infrastructure
• Working across stormwater, wastewater and water projects
• Assisting with asset management, condition assessments and monitoring programmes
• Undertaking site inspections, construction monitoring and field work
• Preparing technical reports, calculations and design documentation
• Liaising with clients, contractors, councils and other project stakeholders
• Supporting projects through investigation, design and delivery
• Working collaboratively with engineers and other technical specialists

We’re interested in hearing from engineers who have:

• A BE Civil, Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant engineering experience in NZ
• Experience across Three Waters
• Strong communication and technical report-writing skills
• Confidence working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
• An interest in developing further experience across design, asset management and project delivery
• A practical approach and willingness to work both in the office and out on site

There is good scope to continue developing technically, become increasingly involved in project delivery and build stronger client-facing experience as your career progresses.
