Intermodal CDL Driver

Seeking experienced CDL Class A Drivers for local and regional intermodal container transportation. Drivers will haul containers between rail terminals, warehouses, and customer locations, with most routes home daily and occasional overnight trips based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Transport import/export containers safely and on time.
• Pick up and deliver containers to rail terminals and customer locations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Inspect containers and chassis for damage or defects.
• Use ELD and dispatch systems for trip management.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers.
• Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Report maintenance issues and keep equipment clean.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening.
• No reckless driving convictions.
• No DUI within the past 5 years.
• No major preventable accidents.
• Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of intermodal/drayage experience.
• Experience with Chicago-area rail terminals.
• TWIC Card.
• Knowledge of chassis inspections and overweight container procedures.

Location: Harvey, IL (drivers should live within approximately 45 miles or be willing to commute daily).

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
