Intern - CA Industrial Trainee - Management Reporting

The role is responsible for preparing and analysing management reports, financial statements, profit loss accounts, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and business performance metrics. The individual will support management decision-making through accurate financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and financial insights while ensuring the integrity of financial information across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Management Reporting

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet and Cash flow closing activities.
• Perform balance sheet schedules preparation and account reconciliation
• Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly budgets and forecasts
• Support MIS reporting - variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast)
• Assist with business performance reviews and dashboards for leadership
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Tax and Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns (e.g., income tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
• Manage tax assessments, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.
• Optimize tax planning strategies in compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks

Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts.
• Basic knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
