Job Summary

Summary:

The “Research & Development Engineer” will be based in ……., reporting to ……

In charge of developing new products, redesign existing products, and perform research and testing on product concepts. This includes maintaining quality engineering programs, standards, and improvements within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Holding up the pre-development according to technology and product roadmap.
• In charge of the regular project planning and coordination across RD centers and factories.
• Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
• Contributing with colleagues from the engineering department on product feasibility.
• Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
• Managing customer reports as well as always having an eye for the status and providing internal status updates.
• Watching the project status and if required adjusting and planning different project activities
• In charge of maintaining transparency between the involved parties on all aspects of the project.
• Business research, development, testing and deployment efficiently and effectively.
• Monitor progress of the teams, whilst always keeping track of the budget.
• Tracks issues and risks and in case of problems, escalates in a timely and clear manner.

Qualifications:

• Functional knowledge, education background or 1 year working experience required.
• Good communication skills and excellent relational skills.
• Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, vendors and/or customers.
• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
