Overview 5-week Paid Internship Program - January 2027 Looking to kickstart your legal career with hands-on experience in a dynamic and meaningful industry? Gallagher Bassett’s Melbourne office is offering a 5 week paid legal internship in January 2027!

As part of Australia’s largest multi-disciplinary third-party claims administrator, you’ll work alongside experienced legal professionals, develop valuable skills, and contribute to providing expert legal support in the insurance and risk management industry.

How You'll Make An Impact At Gallagher Bassett (GB), our legal team plays a critical role in ensuring compliance, managing risk, and providing expert advice. As a legal intern, you’ll:

• Assist with legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases and projects.
• Review and draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Gain exposure to compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal guidance and support.

About You What You’ll Gain

• Paid work experience over five weeks.
• Hands-on training and an individualised development program, including role shadowing, project work, and performing legal research and drafting.

Key Criteria

• You’re scheduled to complete your studies in 2027 or later.
• You’re available full-time for 5 weeks from Monday 18 January to Friday 19 February 2027.
• You’re a domestic or international student with full Australian working rights.
• We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
