Role Description This is a part-time, on-site or remote Intern role located in New Market, AL. The Intern will assist the design team with project research, concept development, and preparation of presentation materials, including mood boards, drawings, and digital files. Daily responsibilities may include organizing samples, supporting project documentation, updating schedules, and maintaining studio records and client files. The Intern will help with vendor communication, sourcing finishes and furnishings, and preparing project spaces for client meetings. This role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative studio environment, with exposure to residential design workflows from initial concept through project execution.

Qualifications

• Foundational design skills, including an understanding of interior or architectural design principles, space planning, and visual composition.
• Proficiency with common design and office tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SketchUp or similar 3D tools, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace).
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation, file management, and scheduling.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a small team and interact professionally with clients and vendors.
• Ability to work on-site or remote, and contribute in a hands-on studio environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology/Drafting, or a related field preferred.
• Commitment to learning, openness to feedback, and interest in residential and custom home design.
