Intern, Distribution Operations

Professional Summary Join Singlife as a Distribution Operations Intern and be part of a team that is a key pillar in strengthening distribution performance. You will learn the ropes of working in a large organization and get a front row view of the business dynamics of our distribution partners; leverage on data and technology to equip our distribution partners with accurate, timely and actionable insights to drive their business; and utilize user driven applications to elevate process automation for efficiency.

Please note that this position is specifically intended for students seeking a Polytechnic Internship.

Responsibilities

• Business Intelligence and Reporting Management:
• Utilize data visualization tools such as Qlik, advanced Excel proficiency and strong business knowledge to deliver accurate, timely, and automated reports and data feeds on production and persistency to key distribution stakeholders (both internal and external).
• Support Transformation:
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting by harnessing the capabilities of data visualization tools to improve the quality, turnaround time, and value-added observations of reporting.
• Drive process automation using tools such as Python, QlikSaas and Power Automate.

Requirements

• Education: Pursuing a diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Data Science & AI.
• Skills: Proficiency in handling data using tools such as MS Office (Excel), VBA and Python, strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Interest: Keen interest in developing dashboards and automated reports using data visualization tools such as Qlik SaaS & Reporting.
• Mindset: Capable of independently exploring and learning new tools, techniques and methodologies, open to new ideas, adaptable to changes and able to cope well with tight timelines.
• Teamwork: Good communication and teamwork skills with a responsible approach to handling work in a trusted financial services environment.
