We are seeking Electrical Engineering Interns to work in our headquarter office in Lancaster, PA.
Our summer internship program at HFL cultivates future engineering professionals, looking to gain ‎hands-one, real-world experience to enhance their education and professional skills. It's an ‎opportunity for students to get to know us and for us to learn about you. ‎

Requirements/Responsibilities

What You'll Get to Do:‎

• Support a variety of engineering tasks related to electrical system design.‎
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design, focused in power distribution, lighting ‎systems, telecom and security systems.‎
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.‎
• Become an expert with Autodesk Revit.‎
• Perform basic engineering calculations.‎
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.‎
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.‎
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.‎

What You'll Need:‎

• Enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.‎
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.‎
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.‎
• Academic coursework that is relevant to building systems (power distribution; lighting) is ‎preferred.‎
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.‎
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.‎
