Intern GenAI / LLM / Vision AI

We are looking for a GenAI / LLM / Vision AI Intern to work with our AI engineering team on real-world AI applications involving Large Language Models, Vision LLMs, OCR, Document AI, RAG, and AI agents.

You will work with both text and visual data, experiment with open-source and commercial models, build prototypes, evaluate model performance, and contribute to practical AI solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who wants to move beyond tutorials and gain experience building real AI systems.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

• LLM & Vision LLM Applications
• Build and test applications using text LLMs, Vision LLMs, and multimodal AI models.
• OCR & Document Intelligence
• Work with OCR pipelines to extract text and structured information from documents, including scanned documents, images, forms, invoices, receipts, and handwritten content.
• Multimodal AI
• Experiment with models that understand both text and images, combining OCR, visual information, and LLM reasoning.
• RAG & Knowledge Systems
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using document processing, embeddings, vector search, and LLMs.
• LLM Evaluation
• Create test datasets and test cases, evaluate model responses, measure accuracy and consistency, and identify areas for improvement.
• Prompt Engineering
• Develop and optimize prompts, structured outputs, extraction instructions, and model workflows for specific use cases.
• Local & Open-Source Models
• Experiment with open-source LLM and Vision LLM models, including local inference where required.
• Data Preparation
• Collect, clean, structure, annotate, and prepare text, image, and document datasets for training and evaluation.
• Fine-Tuning & Model Experimentation
• Assist with fine-tuning and parameter-efficient adaptation of models where appropriate.
• AI Integration
• Integrate AI models and GenAI components through APIs into working applications and prototypes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

REQUIRED

• Python programming skills
• Good understanding of Machine Learning and NLP fundamentals
• Fundamental understanding of LLMs, Transformers, and Generative AI
• Basic understanding of Computer Vision and image processing
• Ability to work with APIs, JSON, datasets, and Python libraries
• Problem-solving and debugging skills
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment, learn, and iterate

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with PyTorch or Hugging Face Transformers
• Experience with OCR or document processing
• Exposure to Vision LLMs or multimodal models
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or LangChain
• Exposure to Ollama or local LLM deployment
• Understanding of LLM/VLM evaluation techniques
• Familiarity with OpenCV
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub
• Experience building AI/ML projects outside coursework
