Intern Graphic Designer

About the role

Pentamaster Corporation Berhad is seeking a talented Intern Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Design & Architecture team. This is a contract position based in Penang, offering an excellent opportunity for aspiring graphic designers to gain practical experience in a professional creative environment. As an Intern Graphic Designer, you will support our creative team in developing visually compelling designs for various projects and marketing initiatives. This role is instrumental in helping you build a strong foundation in graphic design whilst contributing to the visual identity and communication strategies of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Creating and designing graphics, layouts and visual content for digital and print media
• Assisting in the development of branding materials, including logos, business cards and marketing collateral
• Supporting the design of user interfaces and digital assets for web and mobile applications
• Collaborating with senior designers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver on creative briefs
• Editing and retouching images and graphics using industry-standard design software
• Maintaining brand consistency across all design outputs and materials
• Gathering feedback from stakeholders and implementing revisions to designs
• Assisting with the organisation and management of design files and digital assets
• Take up any other job task assigned by the management from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a course in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts or a related creative discipline
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills, creativity and visual aesthetic sensibility
• Solid understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, composition and layout
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Keen interest in staying current with design trends and industry developments
• Experience with web design or digital media is advantageous
