Intern - HR

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and responsible HR Intern to support the Human Resources Department in daily HR operations. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to recruitment, employee records, onboarding, attendance, training, employee engagement and general HR administration.

This internship is suitable for students who want practical experience in a fast-paced retail and corporate working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Assist in posting job vacancies on recruitment platforms and social media.

• Screen resumes and identify potential candidates based on job requirements.

• Contact candidates and coordinate interview arrangements.

• Support new employee onboarding and orientation activities.

HR Administration

• Assist with filing, scanning and organising HR documents.
• Support the HR team in maintaining proper documentation and confidentiality.
• Assist with general HR correspondence and administrative duties.

Attendance & Leave

• Assist in checking employee attendance, lateness and absenteeism records.

• Assist in preparing basic attendance reports.

Training & Employee Engagement

• Assist in coordinating internal and external training programmes.
• Maintain training attendance and related documentation.
• Support company events, employee engagement activities and staff programmes.
• Assist in preparing internal HR announcements and communication materials.

HR Reporting & Projects

• Assist in preparing basic HR reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Update recruitment, headcount, attendance and other HR trackers.
• Support HR projects and process-improvement initiatives.
• Assist the HR team with ad-hoc assignments when required.
