Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Boone County Commission, the intern performs assigned project work and supports day-to-day operations to ensure the effective delivery of county services.

Status: Temporary, part-time, non-benefited

Working hours: 15 - 20 hours per week

Location: Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: Candidates should be currently enrolled in college, graduate school, or a related educational program, or be a recent graduate. An interest in local government, public administration, public policy, community affairs, or public service is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail are essential. Candidates should be able to handle information professionally, maintain appropriate confidentiality, work independently, and collaborate effectively with staff and members of the public. Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software is preferred.

Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $17.05 per hour
