Intern - QA Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer Intern to join our Quality Assurance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance processes, and modern testing tools while working alongside experienced engineers on real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and functional specifications.
• Prepare and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Validate web and mobile applications across different browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure quality before production releases.
• Maintain accurate test documentation and execution reports.
• Learn QA best practices, testing methodologies, and automation concepts.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Understanding of Manual Testing concepts.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Understanding of REST APIs and API testing is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn automation testing concepts.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Exposure to Postman for API testing.
• Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of Git or other version control systems.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
