About the role

You will join the Clinical Operation Department and work with the Global Clinical Evaluation and Evidence Team – a part of research, development, and innovation (RDI) at Institut Straumann AG. As a curious and scientifically oriented person, you are interested in gaining first insights into the collection, processing and analysis of data from relevant sources (literature, real-world data, clinical studies). You’ll be a part of an international team of scientists and specialists, mainly located at the global Headquarter in Basel.

Duration 6 months.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analysis of Clinical Operation data input (e.g. literature, survey data, implant registry, clinical studies, etc.).
  • Support Clinical Operations data visualization (dashboards) and reporting.
  • Leverage AI-based technology to streamline literature search and data extraction.
  • Support of clinical data management activities across Clinical Operations (data documentation, standardization and consumption)

Who are we looking for?

  • Master's degree, preferably in Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. R, Python, SAS, or equivalent).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, R Shiny).
  • Knowledgeable of relevant programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL)
  • Knowledgeable of extract-transform-load (ETL) pipelines, preferentially using Amazon Web Services tools, and of Snowflake for data consumption.
  • Proactive individual with a structured work approach and the ability of achieving results pragmatically.
  • Demonstrates a "Player-Learner" attitude: open communication, adaptable to change, solution-oriented, learns through practical experience, and welcomes feedback.
  • Exhibits a high level of integrity, commitment, and ethical conduct.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
