Intern - Software Engineering

About the Internship

We are looking for a motivated and disciplined fresh graduate who understands the fundamentals of software engineering and is interested in working across different areas of software engineering.

This is not limited to web development. The role may involve application development, development environments, Linux, Docker, deployment workflows, automation, and the use of AI tools to improve software engineering productivity and quality.

The internship offers practical exposure to real world projects, modern development practices, and an opportunity to build a strong foundation for a career in software engineering.

Requirements

Education

• Fresh graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.

Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language. The choice of language is open.
• Sufficient knowledge of Git, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of Linux fundamentals and command line operations.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes.
• Knowledge of AI powered programming tools and Generative AI, including their practical use in coding, debugging, testing, and improving software quality.

Candidates with practical knowledge of Linux, Docker, CI/CD, automation, and deployment workflows will be preferred.

Personal Qualities

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Internship Details

• Duration: 8 weeks.
• Location: On site at our office in PECHS, Karachi.
• Stipend: A fixed amount for the complete 8 week internship.
• Experience: Hands on exposure to software engineering, AI assisted workflows, development environments, and deployment practices.
• Future Opportunity: The internship may lead to a full time position based on technical ability, learning progress, discipline, and overall performance.
