Intern - Structural Engineering

Requirements/Responsibilities

What You'll Get to Do:‎

• Support a variety of engineering tasks related to structural design.‎
• Learn basic principles of structural design, with exposure to steel, concrete and wooden structures.‎
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.‎
• Become an expert with design platforms such as Revit, RAM Elements and STAAD.‎
• Perform basic engineering calculations.‎
• Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.‎
• Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.‎
• Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.‎

What You'll Need:‎

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering program ‎with a concentration in Structural Engineering.‎
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including Revit.‎
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.‎
• Academic coursework that is relevant to structural design is preferred.‎
• Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.‎
• Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.‎
