Intern, Supplier Quality Engineering

Position Summary:

Reports to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager and supports all assigned quality engineering activities to support the manufacturing of the Insulet Products. Working with the Supplier Quality Engineering team, as assigned, to assures new or modified products conform to quality standards and establishes compliance with the quality system. The role provides support to Insulet’s Supplier Quality Engineering processes including non-conformances, supplier corrective action and effectiveness and resolution of manufacturing quality related issues, as assigned. This role takes day-day work direction from the applicable engineers and associates

Responsibilities:

• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers with review and compile weekly Quality Metric report.
• Daily Quality support for issues arising in incoming inspection, MRB and production lines.
• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers to compile monthly Report for supplier performance (SCAR, NCMR, EQAR and etc)
• Support in External and Internal Audit task.
• Work closely with engineers and other teams to address quality concerns.
• Assist Supplier Quality Engineers to conduct Test Method Validation (TMV).
• Review and support calibration and preventive maintenance activities
• Support Incoming Inspection daily activities and familiarize the inspection process and flow. (eg. Sampling, etc)
• Support in Supplier Quality related administrative activities as required.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned by Engineers and Superior.

Education and Experience:

• BS Degree in engineering, a technical or scientific discipline; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
• Ability to organize and judge priorities.
• Excels at generating and maintaining organized and accurate records.
• PC skills, proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others.
• The ability to prioritize multiple competing deliverables simultaneously.
