Intern - Venue

Role Overview:

The Venue Intern supports the day-to-day venue and front-of-house operations at the Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre, ensuring smooth event execution and a positive audience experience. The role provides hands-on exposure to venue management, event coordination, and hospitality operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with front-of-house operations during performances and events, including ushering, guest assistance, and crowd management.
• Support venue set-up, audience flow coordination, and event readiness checks.
• Assist in coordinating venue bookings, schedules, and operational logistics.
• Support liaison with event organisers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in maintaining venue cleanliness, safety, and overall readiness.
• Support inventory tracking and basic administrative tasks related to venue operations.
• Provide operational support during rehearsals, performances, and special events.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Arts Management, or related field.
• Strong interest in venue operations, events, and customer experience.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends during events when required.
• Proactive, organised, and able to work well in a team environment.
