Position: Internal Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Issue and manage approximately 200 sales invoices monthly based on company sales listings.
• Maintain and update accounts receivable records on a daily basis.
• Prepare weekly accounts receivable reports, including a "Red List" of customers exceeding approved credit thresholds where services may be suspended.
• Distribute automated payment reminder emails to clients on a weekly basis using company templates.
• Record, reconcile, and upload payments for approximately 50 trade accounts payable accounts.
• Prepare monthly VAT reporting, including sales VAT, purchase VAT, and withholding tax calculations and lodgements.
• Perform regular cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and detailed asset and liability reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Liaise with external auditors and support annual statutory audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
• Support process improvement initiatives and assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as required.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing VAT, withholding tax, and other tax-related reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial data analysis.
• Proficiency in Odoo ERP software is mandatory, other accounting software (MYOB, Xero, Handisoft,etc) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when handling high transaction volumes.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
