Internal Audit Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting reviews in accordance with the approved annual review plan.

Perform process walkthroughs, identify key risks and controls and execute review procedures.

Conduct testing and document review evidence in accordance with established methodologies.

Prepare and maintain review working papers and supporting documentation.

Assist in drafting review observations, recommendations and reports.

Monitor and follow up on the implementation of agreed action plans.

Review compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Support ad hoc reviews, investigations and special assignments as required.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all review activities.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.

1–2 years of internal or external audit experience.

Insurance industry experience is preferred.

Basic understanding of internal controls, risk management and governance.

Good analytical, communication and report writing skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Organised and able to work independently.

High level of integrity, professionalism and willingness to learn.
