Internal Audit Executive

About the role

Join Jumbo Grocer (Sibu) Sdn Bhd' as an Internal Audit Executive, a fulltime position based in Sibu, Sarawak. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing independent and objective assurance, as well as advisory services, to help the organisation achieve its objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct comprehensive risk-based audits across various business functions and processes
• Identify and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, governance and risk management practices
• Provide practical recommendations to improve operational efficiency and enhance internal controls
• Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations and monitor corrective actions
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports to communicate findings and proposed solutions
• Collaborate with various departments to gather information and facilitate the audit process
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices in internal auditing

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the retail or consumer products industry
• Proficient in data analysis, risk assessment and audit planning
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve audit objectives
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
