Internal Audit Head

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Internal Audit to lead, direct, and grow our internal audit function. In this position, you will establish risk-based audit strategies, evaluate internal control frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance to mitigate operational, financial, and strategic risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and manage the annual risk-based internal audit plan approved by the Audit Committee and executive leadership.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management practices, governance structures, and financial/operational internal controls.
• Deliver independent audit reports, highlight key control deficiencies, and present actionable recommendations directly to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Ensure company operations comply with applicable laws, industry standards, regulatory mandates, and internal policies.
• Manage and mentor internal audit staff, directing engagement scope, methodologies, and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, or risk management, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; CISA/CRMA is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• Strong analytical thinking, deep understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), exceptional leadership, and clear executive reporting capabilities.
