Internal Audit Head

About the role

The Internal Audit Head is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the Company's internal audit activities to ensure effective internal controls, proper risk management, and developing and implementing the annual risk-based internal audit plan.

What you'll be doing

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify operational and financial risks.
• Identify control deficiencies, irregularities, potential fraud, and areas for operational improvement.
• Conduct special audits and investigations as required by Management.
• Prepare and present audit reports, findings, and recommendations to Management.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Internal Audit team.
• Ensure audit activities are conducted objectively, independently, and in accordance with applicable professional standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, Business Administration
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant audit experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Mining industry experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mining operations, internal controls, risk management, financial and operational auditing, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with MGB, DENR, and other mining-related regulatory requirements.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, independence, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
• Willing to travel to mining sites
