Internal Audit Head

About the role

The Audit Head shall be responsible in the overall management of the Internal Audit Department and shall be responsible in the execution of major departmental projects. The Audit Manager sees to it that main departmental KRAs and KPIs of the unit are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the department and motivate the group to attain departmental objectives
• Ensure the group works as a harmonious and cooperative team, performs assigned tasks sufficiently within prescribed deadlines and adheres to policies, rules and regulations
• Recommend appropriate changes and additions/improvements on existing controls affecting branches and head office operating units
• Make continuing review of findings/exceptions to ensure corrective actions are taken by branches and head office operating units
• Supervise and provide overall oversight to the field audit group
• Review audit reports prepared/submitted by staff
• Ensure field audit engagements are well monitored by the field audit supervisor
• Make general plan and schedule of all audit engagements through risk-based audit scheduling
• Provide overall oversight to the documentary audit unit
• Report to the BOD the KRA-KPI attainments of the department, audit reports and exceptions, important updates and other important matters concerning the department

About you

• Strong and solid background in internal audit as department head in the financing industry
• Related work exposure in banking required
