Internal Audit Manager

Job Purpose: To ensure the organization complies with approved policies, SOPs, and work instructions across all business functions, including stores, warehouses, and head office. The role is responsible for strengthening internal controls, risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets, protect revenue, ensure food safety and operational standards, and uphold the organization's reputation and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Internal Audit & Compliance

• Conduct internal audits for stores, central kitchen, warehouse, and head office.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety standards, cash handling, inventory control, and procurement procedures.
• Identify control gaps, non-compliance, and operational risks, and recommend corrective actions.

2. Internal Control & Risk Management

• Review and strengthen internal control systems related to sales, cash, inventory, shrinkage, and supplier management.
• Monitor segregation of duties, approval limits, and system access controls.
• Support risk assessments covering operational, financial, and compliance risks.

3. Policy, SOP & Work Instruction Governance

• Review and assess the effectiveness of policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Verify actual practice vs. SOP implementation at store and operational levels.
• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and control.

4. Audit Reporting & Follow-Up

• Prepare concise audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely and effective closure.
• Report key issues and trends to management.

5. Advisory & Business Support

• Provide advisory support on new business/project, process changes, and system implementations.
• Support investigations related to loss prevention, fraud, food safety breaches, or policy violations.
• Promote a culture of compliance and operational discipline.

Jobs Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, Internal Control, Risk Management, Compliance, or operational audit.
• Experience in multi-site businesses such as F&B, restaurant chains, retail, FMCG, warehouse, distribution, central kitchen, or audit consulting is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls covering sales, cash handling, inventory, shrinkage, procurement, supplier management, and approval processes.
• Familiar with reviewing SOPs, work instructions, segregation of duties, approval limits, and system access controls.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, identify control gaps, investigate irregularities, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Good understanding of food safety and operational compliance standards is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to present audit findings clearly to management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with POS, ERP, inventory systems, Power BI, or data analytics tools is an advantage.
• High integrity, attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently.
• Able to travel to stores, warehouses, central kitchen, and operational sites as required.
