Internal Audit Manager (Plantation Sector)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and resilient Internal Audit Manager with deep expertise in the upstream and downstream dynamics of the Malaysian plantation industry. Reporting directly to the Audit Committee, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening governance, driving operational efficiencies, and managing risks across our estates, palm oil mills and refineries. The ideal candidate possesses an unyielding commitment to operational transparency and has zero aversion to frequent groundwork across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational & Field Auditing

• Estate, Mill and Refinery Fieldwork: Plan, lead, and independently execute rigorous operational audits across remote oil palm estates, milling and refinery facilities.

2. Reporting & Leadership

• Executive Presentation: Draft clear, risk-rated audit reports detailing process gaps and cost-saving metrics to present directly to Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
• Team Guidance: Manage, mentor, and review the working papers of auditors and field executives, ensuring alignment with Global Internal Audit standards.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
• Professional Qualifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), ACCA, CPA, or MICPA membership is strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 6 to 8 years of total internal or external audit experience, with at least 3 years specifically centered within the palm oil or agricultural sector.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel estate locations (A valid driving license is mandatory).
• Language Proficiency: Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia is necessary to communicate clearly across both boardroom tables and estate worker lines.
