Internal Audit Officer

a.       Job Summary:

Audit Officer’s primarily responsible in the supervision of the internal auditor/s assigned to carry out the day-to-day internal audit function based on the annual internal audit plan.  The Audit Officer is also in charge of the effective administration of any additional projects/activities (e.g., post implementation of SAP, fraud audits, among others) that Senior Management will assign.

b.       Functional Duties & Responsibilities:

1.       Internal Audit Operation

1.1 Perform audits for business operation, finance, compliance with policies and procedures, risk and controls assessments and fraud audits.

1.2 Coordinate the various planning phases of an engagement, including staff requirements, scheduling and the assignment of work to be performed by the Internal Auditors

1.3 Perform audit planning and prepare the Internal Audit Planning memo.

1.4 Supervise audit team to ensure quality and monitor each engagement assigned to ensure that work is proceeding on schedule

1.5 Make sure the minimum required documentations and working papers are present on all the assignments

1.6 Coordinate with team to review audit findings. And prepare reports with audit findings and recommendations.

1.7 Discuss with management about audit observations, recommendations and actions to be taken

1.8 Communicate audit status to management on regular basis.

1.9 Analyze and resolve audit issues in a timely fashion.

1.10 Perform the more difficult phases of the work on larger and more complex assignments.

1.11 Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.

1.12 Develop and maintain good working relationships with client management.

1.13 Evaluate and enhance internal controls to improve operational efficiency.

1.14 Evaluate performance of audit staffs and provide appropriate feedback.

Organize trainings for audit team for skill development.
