INTERNAL AUDIT SPECIALIST

About the role

The Internal Audit Specialist (IAS) is responsible for conducting compliance, system, financial, and spot audits across all locales and Shared Services Group. The role involves preparation and gathering of audit working papers and audit reports, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. The IAS identifies system control weaknesses and recommends enhancements to strengthen internal controls, promotes best practices and system improvements, and performs other functions as assigned by the Audit Supervisor and Audit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork audits on assigned locales including locale fund accountability, linen and stocks count, room sales and accounts receivable, discount and chits audit, and system audit
• Perform in-depth, detailed and extensive audit procedures on areas worthy of special audit emphasis
• Conduct spot and night audits on assigned locales to deter fraud and irregularities, including cash count, room tag inventory, QSCV, and guiding in/out transaction monitoring
• Ensure compliance checking on company's SOP
• Ensure audit working papers, draft reports, findings and observations are properly documented, reliable, accurate, neat and orderly
• Prepare draft audit reports
• Perform other functions as assigned from time to time

About you

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

• Preferably with at least one (1) year experience in internal audit or related areas

• Knowledge in MS Office and Open Office Application

• Willing to undergo extensive training, provincial and/or shifting assignment
