Key responsibilities

Do you enjoy turning complex risks into clear insights that protect clients and our firm? Can you spot control weaknesses and turn them into practical, sustainable fixes?

Do you like using data analytics and AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to make audits smarter and faster?

We’re looking for an Internal Audit Specialist to

• conduct end-to-end audits that test key risks and controls (for example, trading supervision, client suitability, operational resilience)
• analyze business processes and regulations to pinpoint where controls can fail and how to strengthen them
• use data analytics and AI tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL basics, Microsoft Copilot) to surface patterns and outliers that inform your testing approach
• build and automate repeatable tests where possible (for example, simple scripts or queries that flag anomalies)
• deliver clear, concise findings and recommendations that help us address issues quickly
• collaborate with peers across audit teams and engage constructively with stakeholders during planning, fieldwork and remediation

The team

You’ll join Group Internal Audit (GIA)—an independent function that helps UBS achieve its strategic, operational, financial and compliance goals by assessing governance, risk management and the control environment across our businesses. Your work helps us prevent surprises and gives our clients confidence that we run a safe and sound firm.

Your skills and experience

• bring ideally 1–5 years’ worth of experience in audit, compliance or risk management (consulting or internal audit), or equivalent
• apply a solid understanding of banking operations and regulations to design effective tests
• demonstrate strong analytical skills and comfort working with data (e.g., Excel advanced functions, basic SQL or Python, data visualization in Power BI)
• leverage AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot to explore data, summarize evidence and draft clear workpapers
• communicate complex ideas in clear, professional English and Portuguese across all levels
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment - validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards and ethical use.
