Salary: ₦135,000 Net

About the Role

A reputable hospital in Ogba, Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join its management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the hospital's financial operations, internal controls, and compliance processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of financial records, revenue, expenditure, and inventory (drugs, medical consumables, equipment
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems across departments
• Identify areas of financial leakage, fraud risk, or process inefficiency and recommend corrective action
• Verify billing, cash handling, and reconciliation processes at points of collection (pharmacy, lab, front desk, wards)
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations for management
• Monitor compliance with hospital policies, financial regulations, and relevant statutory requirements
• Conduct surprise checks and stock counts on pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations
• Support external auditors during statutory audits

Requirements

• HND/B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 1–2 years' post-NYSC experience is required
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal control systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills
• Good communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
• Candidate must reside in or be willing to commute conveniently to Ogba, Lagos, or its environs.
