ABOUT THE TEAM

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Internal Auditor to support the continued development of a strong and effective internal audit function.

As a key member of the Internal Audit team, you will contribute to audit engagements across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with both global and local teams.

Reporting to the Head of Group Internal Audit, you will provide valuable insights and support to strengthen governance, risk management and internal control processes across the organisation.

WHAT YOUR WORK WILL LOOK LIKE

• Plan, execute and document operational, technical and compliance-focused internal audits in line with established audit policies, professional standards and internal guidance.
• Provide independent evaluations of the effectiveness of business processes, risk management practices and internal controls.
• Identify control weaknesses and process inefficiencies and propose practical solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Assess adherence to relevant regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
• Support the development of audit strategies and programmes that reflect organisational priorities and the evolving regulatory landscape.
• Provide audit-related support for ongoing company projects and initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and maintaining an understanding of the evolving business and risk environment.
• Monitor developments in regulatory requirements, market trends and business activities across the organisation's European operations to inform audit risk assessments and planning.
• Participate in cross-entity audits and contribute to projects designed to strengthen the organisation's compliance and risk management framework.
• Work collaboratively with teams across different business units, functions and jurisdictions.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• A proactive, energetic self-starter with a hands-on approach.
• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 6–8 years of relevant Internal Audit experience, either in an internal audit or external audit environment.
• Experience within payments, financial services, credit institutions or IT auditing would be highly advantageous.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, methodologies and processes, including the IIA Global Internal Audit Standards.
• Good knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory frameworks, particularly AML/CFT, DORA, GDPR and payment services regulation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Experience working in an international, multicultural environment and across different regulatory jurisdictions.
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel to support audits across other European entities.
• Must already have the appropriate right to work in the relevant country; visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available for this position.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

The recruitment process is expected to include:

• Initial 30-minute conversation with a Talent Acquisition representative.
• 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager.
• 60-minute interview with a member of the wider team.
• Final interview with senior leadership, preferably conducted on-site.

The process may vary depending on business and team requirements.
