Internal Auditor

Job Summary

1. The Internal Auditor is responsible for providing independent and objective appraisal of

 the Hospital’s activities so as to enable the Board of Directors to assess the effectiveness

 of the organization’s systems of governance, risk management, controls and compliance.

2. The internal auditor’s role is to monitor and assess the Hospital’s risks and the efficacy

 of its risk management efforts, evaluate the internal controls in place and ensure that the

 Hospital is complying with relevant laws, plans and policies and that the Hospital’s assets

 are safeguarded and its resources are used efficiently.

3. Internal audit is independent of the management of the Hospital. The Internal Auditor

 reports directly to the Board of Directors. The internal audit office is attached to the Chief

 Operating Officer’s office for administrative purposes only.
