Internal Auditor

I. JOB PURPOSE

The Auditor is responsible for examining and evaluating the company's financial records, operational processes, internal controls, inventory, and compliance with established company policies and procedures. The position identifies discrepancies, risks, and control weaknesses and recommends appropriate corrective actions to improve the company's operations and safeguard its assets.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Conduct regular and special audits of company operations, financial transactions, inventory, cash, and other business activities.
• Review and verify supporting documents, receipts, invoices, vouchers, reports, and other company records.
• Check compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulations.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile actual inventory against recorded balances.
• Investigate discrepancies, irregularities, and unusual transactions identified during audits.
• Review cash handling, collections, disbursements, and other financial transactions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Prepare audit working papers, findings, observations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare clear and accurate audit reports and submit them to management or the Audit Manager.
• Discuss audit findings with concerned departments and obtain appropriate explanations and supporting documents.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions taken by departments in response to audit findings.
• Conduct follow-up audits to determine whether identified issues have been properly resolved.
• Maintain confidentiality of company records and information obtained during audit activities.
• Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Sales, Operations, HR, and other departments when conducting audits.
• Perform surprise audits or spot checks when authorized by management.
• Report suspected fraud, theft, policy violations, or other significant irregularities to management immediately.
• Maintain organized and complete audit records for reference and future audits.
• Perform other audit-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Internal Auditing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in auditing, accounting, finance, inventory control, or a related position is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to conduct field, warehouse, branch, or operational audits as required.

Pay: Php15,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
