Internal Auditor Sr Supervisor

About the role

This role involves developing and executing risk-based internal audit plans covering financial, operational, compliance, and business processes across Head Office and mining site operations. You will conduct comprehensive audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans covering financial, operational, compliance, and business processes across Head Office and mining site operations
• Conduct comprehensive audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Review and test financial transactions, accounting records, procurement activities, inventory, payroll, budgeting, cost control, and other key business processes
• Conduct operational audits across mining activities to assess compliance with SOPs, policies, work procedures, and established internal controls
• Identify control weaknesses, process inefficiencies, potential fraud, financial irregularities, and other risks that may impact the company's operations and financial performance
• Prepare detailed audit working papers, audit findings, risk assessments, and audit reports with clear and practical recommendations for management
• Follow up on audit findings and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to ensure agreed recommendations are properly implemented
• Conduct special audits or investigations as requested by management, including reviews of suspected irregularities, policy violations, or potential fraud
• Lead and supervise audit assignments, including planning audit activities, allocating tasks, reviewing audit work, and ensuring audit deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
• Conduct field audits and site visits to mining operations to verify the implementation of controls and procedures in actual operational conditions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration, Law, or a closely related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, compliance, or related functions (Prefer mining experienced), with relevant supervisory experience
• Proven experience conducting financial, operational, compliance, and process audits, preferably within the mining, nickel, coal, resources, or heavy industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of internal control, risk management, audit methodology, corporate governance, and compliance principles
• Strong understanding of financial and business processes, including accounting, procurement, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost control, logistics, and supply chain
• Ability to independently perform risk assessment, audit planning, audit testing, root cause analysis, and evaluation of internal controls
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify irregularities, control weaknesses, inefficiencies, potential fraud, and compliance risks
• Excellent ability to prepare audit reports, working papers, audit findings, and management recommendations in a clear and structured manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of audit software or data analytics tools considered an advantage
• Good command of Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and verbal
