What they need
AMITY GROUP
Internal Control Manager
Group Finance | Control Design, Implementation, Monitoring & Audit Readiness
Location: Bangkok, Thailand • Reports to: Group Chief Financial Officer • Work model: Flexible hybrid
ABOUT AMITY GROUP
Amity Group is a Thailand-based technology group made up of several business units, each with its own leadership and market focus: Amity Solutions, Egg Digital and Accentix, with a regional presence in Singapore.
We are a growing, multi-industry group that moves quickly. People here get direct access to senior leadership and real ownership of their work. Our core value is Fight as One: we win together, across business units, rather than in silos.
THE ROLE
The Internal Control Manager builds and runs the Group’s internal control framework as an independent function within Group Finance. You will design the controls, drive their implementation across the Group and its subsidiaries, and monitor that they work, so that management can rely on the numbers and the Group is ready for audit.
You report to the Group CFO and work with Finance, business-unit leaders and external auditors. We are looking for someone who strengthens governance without slowing the business down: you spot control gaps early, say what you think, and get them fixed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Control Design
· Assess the Group’s current control environment and design a risk-based control framework covering key finance and business processes.
· Document process flows, risks and controls, and set clear control ownership for each business unit.
Control Implementation
· Roll out new and improved controls with process owners across the Group and its subsidiaries, with practical guidance and training.
· Strengthen segregation of duties across finance processes and system access, and agree solutions where full segregation is not feasible.
Monitoring & Remediation
· Test control design and operating effectiveness on a regular cycle, and report results and trends to the Group CFO.
· Track issues to closure: agree action plans with owners, set deadlines, and escalate overdue or high-risk items.
Audit Readiness & Governance
· Improve audit readiness: maintain control evidence and be the main contact for external and internal auditors.
· Support timely and accurate financial close and reporting by embedding controls into the close and reporting process.
· Advise on the control impact of new processes, systems and business changes, and recommend improvements proactively.
Independence & Stakeholder Management
· Maintain objectivity as an independent function: report findings candidly, and do not own the operational processes you test.
· Build trusted working relationships with Finance, business-unit stakeholders and auditors, and escalate significant issues to the Group CFO.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience & education
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
· At least 7 years of experience in internal control, internal audit, risk or external audit, including experience in a multi-entity group.
· Proven experience designing and implementing controls using a recognised framework (e.g. COSO), with SOX or ICFR exposure preferred.
· Good understanding of financial reporting, the financial close process and segregation of duties.
· Experience supporting external audits and managing remediation plans.
· Professional certification such as CPA, CIA or CISA is an advantage.
· Excellent written and spoken Thai and English.
· Experience in a technology or fast-growing group environment is preferred.
How you work
· Independence and integrity. You act objectively, report what you find, and hold your ground with senior stakeholders.
· Constructive challenge. You question the status quo with rationale and a practical alternative.
· Pragmatism. You scale controls to the risk and the stage of the business, rather than adding process for its own sake.
· Initiative. You do not wait to be told what to do. You identify gaps, bring proposals and own outcomes.
· Influence. You get results through people who do not report to you, with clarity, fairness and follow-through.
· Attention to detail. You are rigorous with evidence, documentation and deadlines.
WHAT WE OFFER
· Direct access to senior leadership and real ownership of building the control environment for a growing, multi-industry group.
· Flexible hybrid working in Bangkok. We trust people to manage their own time and priorities.
· Competitive package: base salary, performance bonus, and Group benefits.
· Occasional domestic travel for subsidiary visits.
