INTERNAL LOGISTICS ENGINEER

About the role

This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and supporting logistics processes across inbound receiving, warehousing, line supply, material flow, and internal transportation. You will work on warehouse and shop floor layouts, material handling engineering, packaging concepts, and production line supply operations. The position involves continuous improvement initiatives, safety and ergonomics support, KPI analysis, and cross-functional coordination to ensure logistics processes align with production and engineering requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and improve logistics processes including inbound receiving, warehousing, line supply, material flow, and internal transportation to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Develop and maintain warehouse and shop floor layouts, racking systems, supermarkets, line-side presentation, and flow paths to minimize travel distance and handling
• Support packaging concepts, dunnage design, palletization, and material handling equipment selection to ensure part protection, ergonomics, and space optimization
• Support production line supply setup, mixed-model operations, model changes, and ramp-up activities by ensuring logistics readiness and execution stability
• Identify logistics safety risks related to material handling, forklift traffic, and line supply operations and support implementation of safety improvements
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives including kaizen, standard work, visual management, and waste elimination within logistics operations
• Analyze logistics performance data such as productivity, line stoppages, space utilization, and material handling efficiency and propose improvement actions
• Work closely with Production, PPC, Process Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to ensure logistics processes align with production and engineering requirements
• Develop and maintain logistics standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, layouts, and engineering documentation
• Support logistics related projects including new model introduction, line expansion, layout changes, and automation initiatives

Competencies & Skills requirement

• Solid understanding of internal logistics, material flow, and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in ERP systems, data entry, and reporting
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and report process inefficiencies
• Ability to coordinate effectively with production, warehouse, and inventory teams
• Knowledge of safety standards, quality requirements, and SOP compliance
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and adapt
• Basic project support skills and process improvement participation
