Internal Reporting Officer

Write, compile, edit and proofread articles for the BI, using internal reporting tools and information from internal sources (see below), with minimal or no guidance

Stay on top of and search for all relevant information (contextual, operational and diplomatic developments) concerning one or two of the five operational regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Eurasia, Name), to which Internal Reporters are assigned: operational activities and major changes/challenges/achievements, global legal and policy initiatives, in order to identify the most relevant information to record and publish in the Bulletin Interne

Replace and/or assist the Deputy Secretary of the Assembly in training and other tasks, when needed

Accomplish any other tasks necessary for the BI’s publication and evolution

Compared to Internal Reporting Officer 2, the Internal Reporting Officer 1 has less experience and can thus cover less complex contexts and sudden crises. The Internal Reporting Officer 1 needs more supervision/coaching from their experienced colleague/manager but must be able to work in an autonomous way.

The internal reporting officer may also fulfil the responsibilities of a focal point, acting as an intermediary between the head of the unit based in Geneva (Deputy Secretary of the Assembly) and the rest of the team as well as Manila Global Hub colleagues for all logistic and other issues that are better managed in proximity and not from Geneva.
