Internal Sales & Application Engineer

Key Accountabilities and Objectives

Work with the regional customer/distributor/agent, external & internal Sales teams, production, logistic to meet and where possible exceed the company & customer’s requirements/expectations, which includes:

• Support sales activities by handling all correspondence with regional customer, distributors, production and suppliers such as prepare quotation for customer’s enquiries, order processing, shipping arrangement, invoicing and liaise with customers in Asia Pacific within a timely manner.

• Propose technical and commercial solutions based on customer specifications through strong product knowledge in a clear, detailed and accurate manner.

• Maintain expert level understanding of product features, applications and competitor alternatives.

• Provide technical and engineering support to colleagues, distributors and customers.

• Negotiate timelines and deliverables for quotation submissions.

• Assist in bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities.

• Monitor quotation progress and ensure alignment with customer expectations and internal capabilities.

• Review cost‑saving opportunities through analysis and propose improvements.

• Monitor project stages to ensure costs remain aligned with forecasts.

• Prepare sales & marketing report.

• Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.

• Pursue new business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives, together with the External Sales Team.

• Support regional growth initiatives and identify potential customers or markets..

• When relevant, generating new part no.’s for standard parts.

• Achieving relevant targets and KPI's.

• Ensure smooth communication across departments to fulfil company and customer expectations

• Adopt a flexible approach to workload and take on new responsibilities when appropriate.

• Contribute to process improvements, efficiency enhancements and cross‑department collaboration.

Communication

• Communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with customers, supplier, distributor & production teams.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide management with accurate cost information, data and insights to support decision‑making.
• Work closely with the purchasing department, offering continuous feedback to maintain competitive pricing and supplier performance
• Engage the interest and participation of colleagues, distributors and customers through a collaborative working approach.
• Ensure effective and regular communication within the team and across departments to maintain alignment and operational clarity.
• Share updates, challenges and progress promptly to support smooth workflow and project execution.
• Promote and endorse the company’s culture, values and identity through daily interactions and professional conduct.

General Responsibilities

• Delivery a seamless interface with internal and external customers as required.
• To protect the customer from receiving defective product.
• Assist in the smooth running of the department by responding to any reasonable requests related to the job function
