Internal Sales Assistant

About the role

You will be responsible for managing inbound customer enquiries, preparing quotations and providing product support across our range of products, both to the general public as well as regular customers.

Our products are Home Improvement/Hardware related products, which range from simple to somewhat advanced.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys working with customers, solving application problems and turning enquiries into practical solutions. The role will work closely with regular dealers and installers to assist them with enquiries, and help manage orders and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries and quotation requests promptly and professionally

• Processing customer orders and ensuring accuracy across product selection, pricing, quantities and delivery requirements

• Preparing accurate quotations for customers

• Providing product and application advice within your technical knowledge

• Identifying and flagging genuine sales opportunities

• Working with Production and Supply to confirm product availability, lead times and delivery

About you

• Technically minded, with an engineering, technical or related background - Not necessary, but would assist with the ability to perform within the role.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and priorities
• Commercially aware and interested in understanding customer needs
• A quick learner who is comfortable asking questions and taking ownership
• Detail-oriented, particularly when preparing quotations and processing orders
• Confident communicating with customers by phone and email
• Comfortable working with CRM, ERP and Microsoft Office systems
• A team player who enjoys working closely within their own team, and with regular clients
• A problem solver who enjoys finding practical solutions
