Internal Tax

OBSIDIAN is an Indonesian-born fitness and lifestyle brand founded in Canggu, Bali. As we continue to grow and expand into new locations, we are looking for a Bali-based Internal Tax professional to manage our day-to-day tax compliance, identify potential tax risks, and work closely with our external tax consultant.

What You’ll Do

• Manage corporate tax compliance across all OBSIDIAN entities.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual tax filings, including fiscal reconciliations.
• Work closely with our external tax consultant to implement tax-planning strategies across the group.
• Review the tax implications of new business initiatives, contracts, transactions, legal agreements, and corporate structures to support tax efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate tax audits and communications with tax authorities together with our external tax consultant.
• Monitor changes to Indonesian tax regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Identify potential tax risks and strengthen internal tax processes and controls.
• Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to support accurate and tax-efficient business decisions.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant Corporate or Internal Tax experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations.
• Experience handling corporate tax compliance and supporting tax audits.
• Understanding of Indonesian corporate law and its tax implications.
• Brevet A & B certification is required; Brevet C is preferred.
• Familiarity with Coretax DJP and other relevant Indonesian tax systems.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working hands-on within a growing business.
• Able to work full-time from our office in Canggu, Bali, Monday to Saturday.
