International Software Developer

About the role

International Software Developer role that leads medium to large multi-resource projects to successful completion. This position represents Information Technologies on teams and provides consulting on the future direction of international company initiatives pertaining to business processes and IT Systems. The role is a liaison between the business and IT, supporting initiatives that impact business effectiveness and productivity across the organization, which may include support functions (HR, Finance & Accounting, Manufacturing, Logistics, Order Management, Warehouse Management, Strategy, etc.), and Commercial, and other businesses including Joybird and Casegoods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medium to large multi-resource projects to successful completion, preparing project estimates, directing, and coordinating development and technical installation of information systems by defining technical design and development work to be completed
• Establish work plans for completion of assigned projects and coordinate technical work efforts across IT areas for assigned projects, ensuring solutions comply with architectural standards and established SDLC methodologies that meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Support and develop Application Developers by providing technical advice, coaching, and mentorship
• Analyze functional requirements, identify options for meeting those requirements, and recommend a course of action
• Implement application changes that consider business functionality, optimal application performance, and the current technical operating environment
• Build codes, plan, and successfully perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution as well as compliance to the business and technical requirements
• Develop business relationships and integrate activities with others to support project efforts, participate in business workshops to understand requirements, identify integration points and work with required resources from other teams to create detailed system design documentation
• Coordinate teams for integration testing, User Acceptance testing and identify all resources and steps required for production cut over and go live
• Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning
• Participate in daily lead team standup meetings to understand business direction and opportunities

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Business Administration or related field with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent

• Leadership experience

• Experience using JAVA and SQL technology

• Experience using JD Edwards development methodology

• Experience using DevExpress

• Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Problem solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and independently

• Strong documentation skills

• Working day :    Monday – Saturday ( 2 Saturdays off per month)

• Working time :  8.00 a.m. – 17.00 p.m.
