Duties

• Serve as the primary point of contact for international students, offering guidance on immigration policies, visa requirements, and academic regulations
• Assist students with orientation programs, ensuring they understand campus resources and support services available to them
• Provide personalized advising on academic planning, course selection, and cultural adjustment strategies
• Organize and facilitate workshops on topics such as intercultural communication, study skills, and employment opportunities for international students
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop programs that enhance the international student experience
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions, advising sessions, and compliance documentation
• Advocate for students’ needs by connecting them with campus services including counseling, health care, and language support

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching or educational advising within a multicultural or international context
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations related to international students (preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to organize workshops and informational sessions confidently and engagingly
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
• Passion for supporting student success and fostering an inclusive campus environment
